Permanent recruitment — Logistics coordinator

You hire directly, on your own payroll. We find, check and present the candidates.

Sector : Warehousing and logistics · NOC 2021 13201

The job

A logistics coordinator organises the movement of goods: booking carriers, tracking shipments, preparing documentation and solving problems before they reach the customer. Depending on the company, they also handle inbound supply, customs paperwork or production scheduling.

Main tasks

The profile that succeeds

An effective logistics coordinator anticipates: they call the carrier before the customer calls, keep a plan B for critical shipments and keep files current so anyone can pick up in their absence. They negotiate firmly without burning relationships, because good carriers are scarce in peak season. They write clearly, which avoids costly misunderstandings.

Before you give us the mandate

Usual requirements

The role needs organisation, very good written communication, comfort with Excel and an ERP or transport management system (TMS). A college diploma or attestation in logistics is common; English is often requested when carriers or customers are outside Québec.
