Permanent recruitment — Class 3 truck driver

You hire directly, on your own payroll. We find, check and present the candidates.

Sector : Transportation · NOC 2021 73300

The job

A class 3 driver drives straight trucks (dump trucks, box trucks, heavy delivery trucks) without an articulated trailer. They often make several deliveries a day, handle part of the freight, carry out the pre-trip inspection and represent your company at the customer's site.

Main tasks

The profile that succeeds

The class 3 driver you want is careful before being fast. They do the pre-trip inspection without being reminded, secure the load properly and report a strange noise instead of waiting for a breakdown. At the customer's site they are polite and patient, since they are often the only face of your company the customer sees. They know the streets in their area and plan stops to avoid needless back-tracking.

Before you give us the mandate

Usual requirements

A class 3 licence issued by the SAAQ (or a higher class that includes it) is mandatory, along with a driving record acceptable to your insurer. The certification supplement (+2) applies because the licence is a job requirement.

What we check

We check the licence class and validity with the SAAQ's public tools, experience by type of truck, and, with the candidate's written consent, their driving record, which they obtain themselves from the SAAQ. References with consent.

Timeline: depending on the role, usually a few weeks.

How we work

  1. You sign the agreement online and complete the Job Order (role, wage, shifts, requirements).
  2. We search and shortlist, then check experience, required certifications and references with consent.
  3. We present the shortlisted candidates with a written summary; you run your interviews and tests.
  4. You hire directly. Our fee is only due if you hire, and the 90-day guarantee starts on the start date.
